Exclusive Boarding for Clients
For those times when you need to be away overnight, trust our Exclusive Boarding service to provide a home away from home for your dog. Available exclusively to clients booking a minimum of 8 walks or 6 daycare days per month, we offer personalized, attentive care in a safe and comfortable environment. Your pet will enjoy all the comforts of home while receiving the dedicated attention they deserve. Rest easy knowing your companion is in loving and experienced hands.

Meet Kerry
OWNER & TEAM MANAGER
Kerry is a cherished member of Jersey City's dog-loving community and the passionate founder of Hamilton Bark. With her golden retriever, Nessie, by her side, she's a familiar face at the Hamilton Park dog run, where she fosters connections among pet owners and their furry companions.
Prior to her move to JC in 2022, Kerry created a career focused on community building and fostering strong relationships in the non-profit sector. Her commitment to making a positive impact was recognized by Massachusetts State House, where she was honored with the Unsung Heroine Award in 2018 for her community-building efforts at a local women’s community center. Before diving into her nonprofit career, Kerry spent five years as a college-level basketball coach. Her experiences on the court honed her skills in team-building and leadership, qualities that she brings to every aspect of Hamilton Bark.
Kerry's professional background, combined with her genuine love for dogs, ensures that every service offered by Hamilton Bark is both professional and deeply personal. She understands the unique bond between dog owners and their pets, striving to make every walk and drop-in a delightful experience for the four-legged residents of Downtown Jersey City.
Meet Joe
CO-OWNER & TECH LEAD
Joe is the energetic co-owner of Hamilton Bark, bringing his eclectic Aquarius spirit to every facet of the business. With a strong background in teaching, he seamlessly translates his passion for education into walking and training dogs, ensuring each furry friend not only enjoys their time but also learns along the way.
A tech enthusiast at heart, Joe spearheaded the development of our new app, revolutionizing how we connect with our clients and manage our services. His love for systems-level thinking and strategy keeps Hamilton Bark innovative and efficient, making the most of modern technology to enhance pet care.
After a successful stint in Manhattan real estate as a team lead and part of the management team, Joe chose to leave the hustle of NYC to pursue his true passion—caring for dogs and enriching his local community. This transition reflects his commitment to making a positive impact where it matters most. Joe's unique blend of educational expertise, technological savvy, and genuine love for animals makes him an invaluable part of our team. We're thrilled to have him at Hamilton Bark, where his innovative spirit and dedication ensure that both pets and their owners receive exceptional care.
Meet Thorn
DOG WALKER & SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER
Thorn is our dedicated dog walker who brings extensive experience and a heartfelt love for animals to our team. He began his professional journey at Boarding and Beyond in Aurora, Colorado, spending two years as a Kennel Technician and stepping up as an interim Assistant Manager. Seeking new adventures, Thorn moved to Brooklyn, New York, where he joined DIGS as a Dog Day Care Attendant. His role involved welcoming dogs of all breeds, leading engaging walks through the city, and assisting with basic training exercises. His warm personality and keen understanding of canine behavior quickly made him a favorite among pets and their owners.
At home, Thorn is the proud owner of Rayden, his energetic three-year-old German Shepherd who keeps him up-to-date with the latest in dog training techniques. In his free time, he cheers on the New York Mets, enjoys horror movies, and is a passionate WWE wrestling fan. A fun fact: his mother, Rose, named him after the song "Every Rose Has It’s Thorn," inspiring his lifelong appreciation for music and compassion.
Thorn believes that dogs are more than just pets—they're family. He understands the trust you place in someone who cares for your furry companions and takes that responsibility to heart. With Thorn, your dog will receive not just exercise but also love, attention, and personalized care.
Meet Sam
DOGGY DAYCARE & WALKER
Meet Sam, an Arizona native who’s found a new adventure on the East
Coast in the heart of New Jersey. Growing up with dogs all her life,
she’s always had a furry companion by her side—so much so that her
home never feels complete without the pitter-patter of paws. Sam’s two
current canine sidekicks, Gemma and Luigi, are her partners in crime
on daily outings to the dog park, where she’s become a friendly,
familiar face to pups and owners alike.
When Sam isn’t wrangling her energetic dogs, you can find her diving
into the pages of a good book—she’s a voracious reader with an
ever-expanding to-be-read pile. Ask her about musicals, and she’ll
light up talking about her all-time favorite: Wicked. She’s been known
to hum “Defying Gravity” while whipping up her favorite Mexican dishes
or scoping out authentic taco joints in her neighborhood. Whether it’s
savoring spicy cuisine, belting out show tunes, or browsing a local
bookstore, Sam embraces every moment with warmth and enthusiasm. She
may have traded Arizona’s desert sunsets for New Jersey’s seasonal
charm, but her love for dogs, good food, and a great story has found a
perfect place to flourish.
Meet Q
DOG WALKER
Q brings a calm confidence to the Hamilton Bark team. A native of rural Michigan, Q loves dogs of all shapes and sizes. They grew up very attached to the neighborhood Golden Retrievers that always seemed to be roaming free; Q learned early in life that a dog’s heart is as big as its paws. Gentle by nature and intuitive by instinct, Q tunes into each dog’s unique rhythm, whether that means a brisk fetch session or a leisurely woodland wander. They believe every pup deserves a walk that feels like an escape and a companion who truly “gets” them.
When Q’s not out walking the neighborhood for Hamilton Bark or behind the desk at Hound About Town, they have been enjoying getting to know the Jersey City area better whether that’s scooting down to Liberty State Park, adventuring with their four-legged niece at Lincoln Park, or staying in for a Great British Baking Show marathon night. We are thrilled to have Q’s kind spirit and seasoned expertise on our team!
Meet Michelle
DOG WALKER
Michelle joins Hamilton Bark as one of our enthusiastic Dog Walkers, bringing four years of hands-on leadership from Hybrid Coffee and Kitchen, where she honed her knack for care and community as General Manager. A Fairleigh Dickinson University graduate with a BA in Psychology and Criminology, she uses her understanding of behavior to make every walk both safe and joy-filled.
With an eye for detail and genuine love for pups, Michelle tailors each outing to suit your dog’s personality—whether it’s an energetic sprint around the park or a calm, scenic stroll through the neighborhood. Her background in psychology helps her tune into what makes each dog tick, while her management experience ensures every booking runs smoothly.
But it’s her boundless affection for our four-legged friends that truly sets her apart. Michelle sees every dog as a “cuddle bug at a hundred”—vibrant, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining, like living, breathing cartoon characters. She can’t wait to share that energy with your pup and help make their day a little brighter (and a lot more fun). Welcome to the pack, Michelle!
Our Policies
Booking and Scheduling:
We recommend that you schedule your walk at least 48 hours in advance.
All walks are scheduled within a three hour period. We can not guarantee exact times, but will do our best to communicate and accommodate specific times.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made by 6pm the day prior to the scheduled walk are able to be rescheduled.
Same day cancellations will be charged the full service fee and will not be able to be rescheduled.
Rescheduling:
If you need to reschedule a walk for later in the week please notify us by 6pm the day prior to the originally scheduled walk time. Failure to do so will result in the walk being treated as a cancellation.
Emergencies and Last-Minute Requests:
We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. If you have an emergency or a last-minute request, please reach out to us. While we will do our utmost to accommodate your needs, we cannot guarantee availability on short notice.
Meet and Greet:
Before scheduling any walks or services with Hamilton Bark, all new clients are required to schedule a free "Meet and Greet" session. This ensures a comfortable and safe environment for both our clients and our dog walkers.
The "Meet and Greet" is an opportunity for your dog to become familiar with the walker and for us to understand any specific needs or preferences your dog might have.
Only after a successful "Meet and Greet" session can regular services be scheduled
